The Modules

< Image Resynator >
Two Resynators are the heart of the Neuron VS sound engine. Comparable to the oscillators of a classic analog synthesizer, these two modules contain the soundcreating part of the synthesizer, called a "model". A model is the "photorealistic" image of a sound or any sonic event. A model is being acquired by exactly analyzing a multi sample, that is being re-synthesized for the use in the Neuron VS Resynators. It contains the basic sound together with a set of individual parameters that are married together with this special sound. The parameters are split off in "Scape" and "Sphere" parts:

Scape offers 6 pairs of parameters that represent the sound creating parts of a sound. Taking the guitar as an example, we are talking about the material the strings are made of, their thickness or how strong or loose they are attached to the instrument.

The 6 Sphere parameters on the other hand represent the sound shaping parts of a model. Again let's take the example of a guitar. These parameters would then describe the shape, size or the material make up of the guitar body. Or if the edges of the body are rounded or just angular.

All parameters are arranged as pairs. The parameter pairs can be controlled crosswise and in real-time by moving the Nuke stickcontroller. On each Resynator, the pitch of a sound can be tuned (in Octaves / Halftones / Cents). Each Resynator has its own ADSR Shaper, which can be adjusted individually for each of the 12 pairs of parameters. Alternatively, one stick animation can be recorded (and played back) for each parameter level. The Neuron VS package includes more then 200 Models. You will find all kinds of natural instruments, guitars, electric and classical pianos, organs, pads, many synthesizer sounds (brass, strings, solo sounds, basses, etc.), EFX sounds, rhythm loops, choirs, etc.
